Dear John

It's 1.37 a.m now and I still haven't slept as I cannot let this feeling I have for it to fade away, come to think of it I haven't written any movie review since my last one and since my baby is making a request to see my new post, thus here I'm writing this just for you =)

Movie Title: Dear John

What would you do with a letter that changed everything?? The film based on Nicholas Sparks's novel of the same name, follows the life of a soldier John after he falls in love with a young woman Savannah. They decide to exchange letters to each other after he is deployed to the war.

The story start when John is on leave when he meets Savannah ,a college student on spring break. In two week period, Savannah and John fall in love. After two weeks John returns to the Army, he and Savannah begin a long-distance relationship through letters. Everything goes well until September 11 attack and John choose to be re-enlist for his sense of duty. Time passes, and John and Savannah eventually find themselves drifting apart. Finally, feeling sad, but resigned, Savannah sends John a Dear John letter. What is written inside that letter?? That's for you to find out =)

I really want to put the trailer here, but stupid university block everything here =.=. Do check out the trailer on Youtube to see some preview from the movie. After watching "A Walk to Remember" and "The Notebook" I'm convinced that I love all the movie adaption from Nicholas Sparks novel, truly amazing and great story =) Not to mention with combination of Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried make this movie a must watch ^^

Little fact about this movie: It knocks off Avatar after being seven consecutive weekends in the first place!!! Now that is something right?? I know some of my friends are not fancy with this romance drama genre movie but still if you need some recommendation from me, this is definitely in my list =)

The problem with time, I've learned, whether it's those first two weeks I got to spend with you, or the final two months I got to spend with him, eventually time always runs out. I have no idea where you are out there in the world, John. But I understand that I lost the right to know these things long ago. What I Learn From The Karate Kid

Yesterday me and my buddy went for a movie, facing the decision of choosing which two movie to watch (The Karate Kid and A-Team) In the end we choose to watch The Karate Kid first~ which is REALLY AWESOME :D

Now what did I learn from The Karate Kid?? Well first it's really The Kung Fu Kid, because to me that's is Kung Fu, but I guess everyone knows that. Now its time to reveal what I REALLY learn about The Karate Kid. WARNING *SPOILER* Please do not proceed further if you don't want to know the spoiler :D

It's movie time guys. Although this is not a new movie, got it from my sis so I assume she should have a good taste too :P

Movie Title: Penelope

"What makes us different makes us beautiful"

Penelope Wilhern is a young woman from a wealthy family with all the qualities to make an excellent match for any other well-bred man of her status. However, the one thing that sets her apart is her nose, which, in fact, resembles that of a PIG. This brings up the old family history where generations ago, a witch placed a curse on the Wilhern family because their son had impregnated her daughter, one of their servants. The son offered marriage but his family refused and married him off to another. The witch's daughter, overwrought, threw herself off a cliff. The witch cursed the Wilherns so that the next girl born into the clan having the face of a pig. For generations, only sons were born into the family, until five generations later when Penelope was born, stricken with the curse. It is said that the curse can only be lifted if one of her own learns to love her, which is interpreted by her parents to mean a blueblood - a person from an established noble family.

The story follow up with her parent protect her from being expose to public and attempt to introduce her to possible rich suitors, hoping that one of them will fall in love with her and break the curse. Unfortunately, every man who lays eyes on the girl takes flight at first sight, never to return.

In the end did Penelope manage to find her true love and break this awful curse??

Killing My Boredom ~ In Rome

When laziness and lack of creativity clash, I end up trying really hard to think of what to do at home today. I'm not rich enough to fly myself to Rome but I actually downloaded the movie "When In Rome" and decided to check it out ~ to kill my boredom.

Movie Title: When In Rome

"All is fair in love and Rome" The movie is about a successful and single Guggenheim art curator Beth (Kristen Bell) is at a point in her life where love seems like a luxury she just can't afford. One day, she flies to Rome to attend her younger sister impulsive wedding and she meets Nicholas Beamon (Josh Duhamel), who rescues her in a couple of difficult situations but is just as much clumsy as she is, not to mention always getting "hit" lol~

Just as Beth convinces herself to believe in love again, she sees Nick kissing another woman. Slightly drunk, she picks up coins (a poker chip, a rare coin, a penny, a quarter and a nickel) from the “fountain of love”. She later learns from Joan that according to legend, if you take coins from the fountain, the owner of the coin will fall in love with whoever took the coin. She has to return the coins back to the fountain to break the spell.

First I think they can much better poster than this one, haha. Well from that poster there is really nothing much I can expect from it, I think the movie still did a good job in entertaining me, especially the wedding scene and restaurant part :D

Personally I think the trailer is too long and pretty much show most of the funny part in this movie :D, but still its better to watch the whole movie and judge it yourself :)

Bad News & Good News

I'm having a really bad mood since Wednesday as soon as I woke up, I know about my shitting result =.=" After all the hard work that I had gone through this is really not the result that I'm expecting. I guess I'm among the lowest in Chinese group in mechanical engineering course (and I guess all Malay got even worst result, they are pretty hopeless except one), but at least I did all my mid term and final paper by myself~ My own effort...

After that morning, the very same day I went to watch movie with my buddy (FooKheng, ChoonQuan, and ChenLin). Movie title: Prince Of Persia - The Sands of Time

Not going to elaborate the storyline here, but this is indeed one GOOD movie. Action scene adequate to hold me on my seat and my eyes on screen, not to mention good storyline which is fairly understandable. Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton make a great appearance and display good acting skill^^

Enjoy Photoshopping !!!

Finally I'm updating again^^ It's been almost 3 week from my last post and now I'm explaining to all my blog reader what's happening :D

As usual I planed to spend my holiday by learning something that I'm interested in, and this semester break I'm learning PHOTOSHOP CS5 :P

I spend like 5 days to watch the Photoshop CS5 One-on-One tutorial video and finally after complete the whole series I'm pretty happy that I can edit and modify digital photo with greater skill, well I just learn the fundamental part of Photoshop, still advance and mastery level a head, SWT =.=||

It's time to practice^^ Actually I had complete one picture, putting my friend's head on Jake Gyllenhaal's face in Prince of Persia movie poster, but he won't let me put it on blog and Facebook, haha. So today I play with Photoshop again and created this COOL version of Prince of Persia :P


Oh Yeah!!! Looks like Prince of Persia borrow some high tech gear from Iron Man and War Machine :P

Happy Chinese New Year + Valentines Days 2010

Feeling kind of lazy since I reach home on 12th Feb, cut my hair and waited for the big day. The big day (14th Feb) is actually two in one, Chinese New Year and Valentine's day. Very special for this year (Year of Tiger) but for me it's kind of weird and I think this two in one day is not good, personal opinion :) Everybody write about Chinese New Year and Valentine's day, so what happens to me??

Just the day before Chinese New Year, as I was going to sit down on my chair suddenly the leg of the chair break and good thing I didn't get any injury from this chair incident. I suppose this a sign??
I had gain weight baby^^
This lead to my curiosity so I had a check on is me (Dragon) compatible with the year of Tiger. All this days you can hear about prediction of Chinese astrology on radio and television constantly~ I google on it and found out that Dragon is OK with this year, I mean more good than bad I suppose^^ You guys can check on this website about astrology, I dunno about the accuracy but it good for some clue on this year :)

First day of Chinese New Year, which is also Valentine's day (Is it??) That's the problem, I can't really feel the atmosphere of love around. I tend to just wish everyone Happy Chinese New Year and forgetting about Valentine's day, she even ask me why didn't I wish her Happy Valentine's day (Oh~ Sorry baby, Happy Valentine^^) Everything is so red everywhere, even when I gone out with my sister for movie, I just feel CNY everywhere, so is it something wrong with me??

Talk about the movie, me, my two sister and brother in law went to watch "Little Big Soldier" starring Jackie Chan and Wang Lee Hom (Yes that's the reason for the movie, my sis is big fan of Wang Lee Hom, lol) I'm not going to write a review for this movie, but for me this is a decent movie to watch, especially on this festive season with family and friends. Just a bit sad that Jackie die in the end this time, and not Lee Hom (Opps.. Spoiler =P)



14th FEBRUARY 2010, same as usual, normal celebration for Chinese New Year, but special for Valentine's day, because this year finally a girl celebrating with me :) Even though we are far apart now, our heart is closer than ever^^ We will celebrate Valentines together when we meet again, wish to hug baby so much~ <3 Everyday is valentines is hard to do, but I wish to make you feel that, everyday :)

Entrepreneurship and Rocky

Friday~ The last day for class in one week, I believe everybody will have the feeling "Oh~finally I make it til Friday, tomorrow holiday :D" Even for Friday, I'm having three classes: Basic electronics and application, Entrepreneurship Engineering and Japanese Language~From the title it's obvious that this post will be talking about Entrepreneurship, but Rocky??

One of the thing I'm happy about is that I got lecturer that can talk English very well, and this semester my Entrepreneurship Engineering lecturer is Mr.Murray Hunter, who is from Australia talk fluent English ^^. Another thing is for the second time of his class he still haven't teach us anything yet, and today he ask all of us to watch movie~ I don't get it =.=??

Movie Title: Rocky Balboa

A 2006 American movie, the last sequel of Rocky film series, directed by and starring Sylvester Stallone tells the story of Rocky, now retired from boxing for 20 years, living alone after his wife, Adrian had died from cancer several years previously. He now runs a Italian restaurant named after her wife, where he will share with his customers stories of his past. Unfortunately, he is also battling personal demons involving his grief over Adrian's death, the changing times, and his eroding relationship with his son Robert.

The movie starts of pretty boring, I'm clueless of what is happening (maybe coz I'm not familiar with the past story of Rocky) but through out the movie I'm sensing there is something Rocky is trying to teach us, and the movie turns out to be a aspiring story. One of the quote I notice during the movie where Rocky told his son:

It ain't about how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward.

After the movie, I thought that this movie is actually not so bad at all~ Rocky ROCKS^^ Our lecturer said that Entrepreneurship is pretty much like Rocky, life is full with up and down, and in order to go through all that, we must not give up, plan a strategy and follow it. Life is an entrepreneurship~ not just business^^

What the heck~ Today is so damn hot and I cannot concentrate on my study so I decide to pick this movie to watch. Honestly I not a big fan of this scary movie stuff, often scare the hell of myself :D Well whatever, I decided to give this movie a try and guess what?? What a let down~ I just sit there watching the movie, hoping some scary scene but I only get the "Har" expression =.=" This movie is Shitting me~


And the couple from the movie, Katie and her bf Micah. I mean where got guy who keep having fun with the demon/ ghost thing while his gf already scare the shit out of her pants?? Some more experiment with Ouija board and put powder on floor, shouting "F... you damn demon, come out, you worthless" like that, no wonder he get kill in the end =.="" That guy is a Shit type of bf...lol

So how much shit I give this movie already?? =.="" Can give me the answer in my comment box, I lazy to count already :D

The Time Traveler's Wife

Well I know its kind of late to give this review of mine about this movie, but still I want to write about it because its so so GOOD!!! :D Release worldwide on August 14th 2009, I was unable to watch it on cinema that time, til one week ago I finally manage to download a DVDrip version of this movie ^^

Title: The Time Traveler's Wife

The movie tells the stories of Henry, a Chicago librarian who has a rare gift - a genetic disorder, which is known as Chrono-Displacement, that causes him to involuntarily travel through time. Ever since he's at age of five he begins to time travel during a road accident.

Since then, he begin to learn to live with his ability, traveling through the past and future where he cannot bring anything along him, always arrives naked :D So he have to make use of many surviving skill: break into houses, rob other people for clothes and money, and wait until he get back to his own timeline.

After a few years, Henry meets with Clare, who she claim to know him ever since she is small and waited him for her whole life. Apparently, the older Henry went back through time to visit her and befriend with her since she was 6 years-old. Henry and Clare fall in love with each other very soon and get married. But with Henry's troublesome ability, how can they manage to stay together and survive this marriage?? That's for you all to check out yourself :)


Based on the best-selling book by Audrey Niffenegger, this is a love story that transcends time. Interesting plot I think, where Henry travel back and forth of his timeline, meeting the one he is close with and learn that even he could travel back to time, he can't change the fact that already happens (his mother's death). But he can certainly go to the future to get the next number of Toto and win 5 million dollar!!! (Haha~ joking about the Toto :D) and with Clare, I think that she is a really brave girl. She choose to wait for her husband who will disappear with no warning, spend her whole life waiting for the one she love.

This is a very touching movie, and also I think is a good adaption of novel to movie as I think the movie delivers very well and I love it very much ^^ (I haven't read the novel yet :P) Recommend to all of you out there if you haven't watch it yet :)

My Average Christmas

Jingle bell~ Jingle bell~ Jingle all the way~ YES!!! Its Christmas today, special day for everyone to celebrate, but for me, its just another average Christmas this year.

Today I don't have any special plan, no hang out with friends, no planning on going anywhere, just start off my day as usual, but I did plan for something, which is to clean my room. Yea I know, boring but have to do it before I go back Perlis on Sunday. As I was cleaning up my bookshelf, I saw my year book during my high school period.


I study at my high school for 7 years (from form 1 til form 6) Full collection as you can see ^^. I look through a few page of my form 6 year book and many memory flash through my mind. Time run so fast, and suddenly I'm starting my 4th semester soon. I still haven't enjoy enough my holiday!!! :(

After cleaning my room, I follow my parent to shopping, manage to buy 2 shirt and 1 jeans for Chinese New Year ^^. Really expansive clothing all together, but my dad pay all of that~ Thanks dad :D

Tonight as usual, doing the usual things, writing this post, listening songs (not Christmas song, ha~), SMS with my buddy (He is going back his uni tomorrow), downloading Twilight: New Moon, Avatar and The Time Traveler's Wife (Hopefully I can finish download in time).

After 5 day since the premier screening of one of the most anticipating movie of the year 2009, I finally able to watch the movie today, together with my friend :) What movie I'm talking about??

Movie: AVATAR
The movie written and directed by the famous director James Cameron (Titanic, 1997) does draw the attention of whole globe and for nearly 10 years of planning and making, finally the movie successfully make its premier worldwide (except for China, they have to wait til next year). The setting of the story start around 2154 year on a fictional planet call Pandora, where humans travel to here, for the valuable mineral call the Unobtanium.

The human meet with the species of sapient humanoids called the Na'vi who is the inhabitants of Pandora, and the Na'vi often sabotage the operation of Unobtanium deposition. Therefore scientist/researcher Dr. Grace Augustine create the Avatar Program, by creating human-Na'vi hybrids which human can link to their avatar and control the avatar body so that human can learn the way of the Na'vi and find a diplomatic solution.


The movie introduce me the wonder of Pandora. I love the world of Pandora since the moment Jake lost in the jungle and meet with Neytiri. Never I could imagine such world like Pandora, with all the beautiful plant and animal. One thing i like is the "USB cable" idea, haha~ really fun where you can just pull out your USB cable hidden in your hair and "plug" it into any animal and plant ^^ Brilliant I must say :D


For the whole 2 and a half hour, I enjoy every second of it, I mean the movie have everything from storyline, adventure, action, romance, funny and with all the spectacular view and scenery of Pandora, I think the movie also delivers some important message to its viewer such as destruction of nature by human and intercultural conflict. Very very good movie indeed, plus I only spend RM5 on this movie (lucky^^), definitely one of the best movie of 2009!!


So wait no more if you folks out there haven't watch this movie yet because this movie is a Must watch movie ^^ Highly recommend to everyone :)

Summer Wars

Another Sunday~ Finish another week, which means still one week left for my semester break. Time pass so fast, start from tomorrow I will be more busy since it's the last week. Birthday celebration, house cleaning, going out with friends, shopping~

Well well, even for such a busy week must enjoy Sunday right^^ so I pick this movie to watch.

Title: Summer Wars


The story centers on high school student Kenji Koiso, a child prodigy in mathematics who spends his time immersed in Oz, a massive computer-simulated virtual reality world. Kenji is a genius with numbers but ill-adept socially. He secretly has a crush on his attractive senpai Natsuki Shinohara but does not have the courage to tell her. At the beginning of summer vacation, he is asked by Natsuki to help in celebrating her great-grandmother's 90th birthday. Although Kenji does not know the details of the plan, he agrees and goes with Natsuki to her grandmother's estate in Ueda, Nagano Prefecture. Much to Kenji's surprise, he is introduced at the Shinohara family house as Natsuki's boyfriend.

As Kenji tries to act the part, meets Natsuki's dozens of relatives, he receives a mysterious e-mail with a mathematics code. He cracks the code and returns it to the sender but finds himself at the center of a developing news story the following day. Overnight, Oz has been hacked and turned into a digital deadzone, and he is the prime suspect. Using Kenji's account and avatar, the real "hacker", which is actually the advanced artificial intelligence system call Love Machine, has stripped the virtual world empty and wreaks havoc in the real world. With car navigation systems disabled and computers malfunctioning, Japan grinds to a halt. Love Machine also gains control of a satellite and threatens to send it crashing to Earth. In order to fight back, Kenji enlists the help of Natsuki's family, and his best friend using an army of avatars. With the fate of the world at stake, a great online summer war takes place.

How's the story sounds?? For me after watching Summer Wars, I really like the concept of the story and the whole storyline is great :) Highly recommend even you are not a fan of anime. Love King KAZMA in the story^^ you are so cool~

TOP 5 MOST BIZARRE ITEMS FOUND IN CINEMAS

As I'm checking out some information about movies, I notice one article. So interesting I decided to share with you all ^^

You can guess from the title that this is about Top 5 Most BIZARRE items found in the cinemas. You maybe will think some of the normal items get left behind in cinemas such as mobile phone, car park ticket, wallet, house key or car key~

Nonono..... According to the interview of several cinema management personnel and also a cleaning company representative, item such as laptop, computer devices and even clothes are also in the list.

So think again, think harder~ below I shall reveal the "Top 5 Most BIZZARE items found in the cinemas". You will never thought all this is capable for Malaysian to left this behind ^^

1. Human Corpse
Not too long ago in a Cineplex within the Klang Valley, a man was found dead after the show. He was a restaurant chef and he was accompanied by a female companion. The movie was not a horror show nor an action movie. So figure it out yourself~(Maybe too excited?? ha~)



2. Used Condoms
This would count as utterly gross, wouldn't it? However, it is not uncommon. It is found out that used condoms are often left behind under cinema seats. No wonder some of them are so creaky! Some people must have been having a go at the old in-out, in-out!




3. Undergarments (bra, panties, briefs)
Not always accompanied by the used condoms, the finding of undergarments is not unusual among smaller cinemas near the outskirts of a city. Some of them are soiled (faeces, urine and possibly semen) while most of them don't seem to have anything wrong with them. Perhaps less disciplined patrons get thoroughly uncomfortable with certain steamy scenes? Lol~

4. Cash (A lot of it!!!!)
Recently, there's a story here about how a Nepalese worker returned a huge amount of cash left behind by a Middle Eastern man after a show at GSC Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur. We're talking about USD 2,300! This amazing act of honesty should be lauded. (But personally, I would say what a stupid Nepalese people=.="")

5. Cat food
A lot of people get so engrossed in a movie that they forget about the wonderful shopping they did before the movie! One of GSC's cleaning contractors say that cat food is an especially common item of shopping that gets left behind. Perhaps all cat lovers are movie lovers? (MiaO~^^)

The Notebook

Its Sunday again~ Not going out with friends today, pretty boring, what else can I do to cure this boredom, so I pick a movie to watch tonight^^.

Title: The Notebook

Behind every great love is a great story. The movie starts in a modern-day nursing home, an elderly man named Duke begins to read a love story from his notebook to a female fellow patient who has lost her memory.

And this story set in 1940, at a carnival where a local country boy Noah Calhoun sees 17-year-old heiress Allie Hamilton for the first time and is immediately fall in love with her. Allie continue to refuse Noah persistent advances until their friends lure them together and after that midnight walk they spend everyday together for that summer until Allie's parent forbidden her to see Noah again and the family move to New York. Noah, devastated by their separation, writes her one letter every day for a year, with no replies. After seven years, they meet each other again but Allie had engage to Lon Hammond, Jr., a wealthy and well-connected young lawyer who is handsome, sophisticated, charming, and comes from an old Southern family. Who will Allie choose??
