Dear John

It's 1.37 a.m now and I still haven't slept as I cannot let this feeling I have for it to fade away, come to think of it I haven't written any movie review since my last one and since my baby is making a request to see my new post, thus here I'm writing this just for you =)

Movie Title: Dear John

What would you do with a letter that changed everything?? The film based on Nicholas Sparks's novel of the same name, follows the life of a soldier John after he falls in love with a young woman Savannah. They decide to exchange letters to each other after he is deployed to the war.

The story start when John is on leave when he meets Savannah ,a college student on spring break. In two week period, Savannah and John fall in love. After two weeks John returns to the Army, he and Savannah begin a long-distance relationship through letters. Everything goes well until September 11 attack and John choose to be re-enlist for his sense of duty. Time passes, and John and Savannah eventually find themselves drifting apart. Finally, feeling sad, but resigned, Savannah sends John a Dear John letter. What is written inside that letter?? That's for you to find out =)

I really want to put the trailer here, but stupid university block everything here =.=. Do check out the trailer on Youtube to see some preview from the movie. After watching "A Walk to Remember" and "The Notebook" I'm convinced that I love all the movie adaption from Nicholas Sparks novel, truly amazing and great story =) Not to mention with combination of Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried make this movie a must watch ^^

Little fact about this movie: It knocks off Avatar after being seven consecutive weekends in the first place!!! Now that is something right?? I know some of my friends are not fancy with this romance drama genre movie but still if you need some recommendation from me, this is definitely in my list =)

The problem with time, I've learned, whether it's those first two weeks I got to spend with you, or the final two months I got to spend with him, eventually time always runs out. I have no idea where you are out there in the world, John. But I understand that I lost the right to know these things long ago. Penelope

It's movie time guys. Although this is not a new movie, got it from my sis so I assume she should have a good taste too :P

Movie Title: Penelope

"What makes us different makes us beautiful"

Penelope Wilhern is a young woman from a wealthy family with all the qualities to make an excellent match for any other well-bred man of her status. However, the one thing that sets her apart is her nose, which, in fact, resembles that of a PIG. This brings up the old family history where generations ago, a witch placed a curse on the Wilhern family because their son had impregnated her daughter, one of their servants. The son offered marriage but his family refused and married him off to another. The witch's daughter, overwrought, threw herself off a cliff. The witch cursed the Wilherns so that the next girl born into the clan having the face of a pig. For generations, only sons were born into the family, until five generations later when Penelope was born, stricken with the curse. It is said that the curse can only be lifted if one of her own learns to love her, which is interpreted by her parents to mean a blueblood - a person from an established noble family.

The story follow up with her parent protect her from being expose to public and attempt to introduce her to possible rich suitors, hoping that one of them will fall in love with her and break the curse. Unfortunately, every man who lays eyes on the girl takes flight at first sight, never to return.

In the end did Penelope manage to find her true love and break this awful curse??

Killing My Boredom ~ In Rome

When laziness and lack of creativity clash, I end up trying really hard to think of what to do at home today. I'm not rich enough to fly myself to Rome but I actually downloaded the movie "When In Rome" and decided to check it out ~ to kill my boredom.

Movie Title: When In Rome

"All is fair in love and Rome" The movie is about a successful and single Guggenheim art curator Beth (Kristen Bell) is at a point in her life where love seems like a luxury she just can't afford. One day, she flies to Rome to attend her younger sister impulsive wedding and she meets Nicholas Beamon (Josh Duhamel), who rescues her in a couple of difficult situations but is just as much clumsy as she is, not to mention always getting "hit" lol~

Just as Beth convinces herself to believe in love again, she sees Nick kissing another woman. Slightly drunk, she picks up coins (a poker chip, a rare coin, a penny, a quarter and a nickel) from the “fountain of love”. She later learns from Joan that according to legend, if you take coins from the fountain, the owner of the coin will fall in love with whoever took the coin. She has to return the coins back to the fountain to break the spell.

First I think they can much better poster than this one, haha. Well from that poster there is really nothing much I can expect from it, I think the movie still did a good job in entertaining me, especially the wedding scene and restaurant part :D

Personally I think the trailer is too long and pretty much show most of the funny part in this movie :D, but still its better to watch the whole movie and judge it yourself :)

The Lovely Bones

Yesterday was my last day at Kg.Wai, after so many days of busy tiring life, not enough sleep and my eye feels like closing all the time. Even though I'm feel tired, but I don't want to spend my night alone sleeping til the next morning. Luckily my buddy Chenlin was there when I need him (I even lock my room and forgot to bring the key along with me, then Chenlin step in to rescue me :D, he so pro open the door with card^^) Anyway, both of us decided to watch movie together and now I'm giving review of this movie :)

Movie Title: The Lovely Bones

I'm attracted to this movie when I first saw the trailer. Base on the award-winning and best-selling 2002 novel of the same name by Alice Sebold, the story is about 14 year old girl name Susie Salmon. Like any other girl at her age, she dreams to be a wild life photographer and had a crush on her senior Ray Singh. But unlike other girls, her life end tragically, on December 6th 1973 when she was murdered and dismembered by her neighbor. As her life on earth ended, she not gone~ instead her spirit flees to her heaven, the perfect world for her.

How would she deal with the desire for vengeance against her desire for her family to recover after her absence?? How would her family's life goes through after Susie gone and will ever the murderer get his retribution?? That's for you all to check it out yourself^^ Here I insert some scene from the movie :)





From the director Peter Jackson together with some great cast like Saoirse Ronan, Mark Wahlberg, and Rachel Weisz makes the movie memorable. The scene and music move you into the movie, to feel the reality and feelings of Susie. This movie include many thing in it, love, hate, family, bonds, life and death. As Susie watches her family from heaven, she began to realize something new, a newfound strength that make her to move on~ As Susie said:

These were the lovely bones that had grown around my absence: the connections — sometimes tenuous, sometimes made at great cost, but often magnificent — that happened after I was gone. And I began to see things in a way that let me hold the world without me in it. The events my death brought were merely the bones of a body that would become whole at some unpredictable time in the future. The price of what I came to see as this miraculous lifeless body had been my life.

This is a great story I think, and I would recommend everyone to watch this movie :)

Entrepreneurship and Rocky

Friday~ The last day for class in one week, I believe everybody will have the feeling "Oh~finally I make it til Friday, tomorrow holiday :D" Even for Friday, I'm having three classes: Basic electronics and application, Entrepreneurship Engineering and Japanese Language~From the title it's obvious that this post will be talking about Entrepreneurship, but Rocky??

One of the thing I'm happy about is that I got lecturer that can talk English very well, and this semester my Entrepreneurship Engineering lecturer is Mr.Murray Hunter, who is from Australia talk fluent English ^^. Another thing is for the second time of his class he still haven't teach us anything yet, and today he ask all of us to watch movie~ I don't get it =.=??

Movie Title: Rocky Balboa

A 2006 American movie, the last sequel of Rocky film series, directed by and starring Sylvester Stallone tells the story of Rocky, now retired from boxing for 20 years, living alone after his wife, Adrian had died from cancer several years previously. He now runs a Italian restaurant named after her wife, where he will share with his customers stories of his past. Unfortunately, he is also battling personal demons involving his grief over Adrian's death, the changing times, and his eroding relationship with his son Robert.

The movie starts of pretty boring, I'm clueless of what is happening (maybe coz I'm not familiar with the past story of Rocky) but through out the movie I'm sensing there is something Rocky is trying to teach us, and the movie turns out to be a aspiring story. One of the quote I notice during the movie where Rocky told his son:

It ain't about how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward.

After the movie, I thought that this movie is actually not so bad at all~ Rocky ROCKS^^ Our lecturer said that Entrepreneurship is pretty much like Rocky, life is full with up and down, and in order to go through all that, we must not give up, plan a strategy and follow it. Life is an entrepreneurship~ not just business^^

The Time Traveler's Wife

Well I know its kind of late to give this review of mine about this movie, but still I want to write about it because its so so GOOD!!! :D Release worldwide on August 14th 2009, I was unable to watch it on cinema that time, til one week ago I finally manage to download a DVDrip version of this movie ^^

Title: The Time Traveler's Wife

The movie tells the stories of Henry, a Chicago librarian who has a rare gift - a genetic disorder, which is known as Chrono-Displacement, that causes him to involuntarily travel through time. Ever since he's at age of five he begins to time travel during a road accident.

Since then, he begin to learn to live with his ability, traveling through the past and future where he cannot bring anything along him, always arrives naked :D So he have to make use of many surviving skill: break into houses, rob other people for clothes and money, and wait until he get back to his own timeline.

After a few years, Henry meets with Clare, who she claim to know him ever since she is small and waited him for her whole life. Apparently, the older Henry went back through time to visit her and befriend with her since she was 6 years-old. Henry and Clare fall in love with each other very soon and get married. But with Henry's troublesome ability, how can they manage to stay together and survive this marriage?? That's for you all to check out yourself :)


Based on the best-selling book by Audrey Niffenegger, this is a love story that transcends time. Interesting plot I think, where Henry travel back and forth of his timeline, meeting the one he is close with and learn that even he could travel back to time, he can't change the fact that already happens (his mother's death). But he can certainly go to the future to get the next number of Toto and win 5 million dollar!!! (Haha~ joking about the Toto :D) and with Clare, I think that she is a really brave girl. She choose to wait for her husband who will disappear with no warning, spend her whole life waiting for the one she love.

This is a very touching movie, and also I think is a good adaption of novel to movie as I think the movie delivers very well and I love it very much ^^ (I haven't read the novel yet :P) Recommend to all of you out there if you haven't watch it yet :)

My 2009 Review

Just a few hour left before stepping into year 2010, so I would like to take this time to review back what I have done for this year 2009. Like other past year, but with some special moment happens and make me grow up and understand more about what life is about.

Here is some of the highlight on my life during 2009 ^^
Happens around mid January 2009, I was in my 2nd sem and my uni require us to enter one of the 7 pillars program: To walk 23.21km from MRSM beseri to the new permanent campus at Ulu Pauh.This is my longest walk of the year but definitely not the longest one in my life so far, the longest one is during Penang bridge run. The walk is much easy compare to the bridge run, and it was the first time I saw the area of my Uni's new campus: large area of land with nothing but the flag UniMAP, it was told that building is under construction and two school will be finish by the end of this year.


I'm usually a quite person and didn't talk a lot. For that making new friends is always a dificult thing for me as I need time to adapt myself and believing other people, but I'm very fortunate to meet with this 4 girls and befriend with them, because of them I learn and understand a lot about relationship.

C.P: To you, who often makes me confuse and brings the moment of sweet and sour into my life, we will always be friend. (Green Apple)

L.S: To you, who always help me in going through my heart-ache, thanks for all the advice and word you say means a lot to me^^

C.H: To you, who I always heard about from people around me, your love story may not be perfect but there will always something to look forward at~ Congratz^^

Now now, talking about achievement, for my third semester. From the picture you can see a statue made with mild steel plate being attach together using arc welding by me~ is my mini project title call "Graduation" Really proud of myself for doing all the welding work, but still I will take this opportunity to thanks my group member Sinli and Weizhong for painting and report.






For your information I actually start blogging on Jun just as my personal dairy to express my feeling through writing. After that I stop writing until my third semester break.
My friend WeiZhong convince me to join Nuffnang and I thought writing can be fun thing to do, expressing feeling, sharing information, making many blogger friends and most important~earning money at the same time!!! (Ha~ no la, earn money not the most important, maybe second? ^^) After 4th week with Nuffnang, my earning is now RM40^^, not very much but must thanks for all my blog viewer for visiting and clicking my blog~ THANKS^^


Two weeks before 28th October, I was thinking of what to give for my friend in Uni (Tete) as his birthday present, then out of sudden I thought about making a birthday wish dedication video for him. Quickly I start making plan on the video plot and come out with the theme for his birthday video~ Secret (不能说的秘密) a movie by JayChow. After days of planning and making, plus collecting wishes from his friends, the video turn out to be a success^^ Glad that everyone love my 1st made video.

Finally, I'm starting my 4th semester, and studying now at new permanent campus build by UniMAP. This feel like a whole new experience again, and actually this changes turns out to be not as bad as I would imagine. I even get my chance to show up in newspaper for first day of my 4th sem.Every subject is getting tougher and hopefully I can achieve my best state to study hard for this semester, no doubt~ must get good result!!!

For new year, I will make my new year resolution here: Hope that 2010 will be more exciting and fun year, I'm looking forward on what will happen^^ Surprise me :)
And to all of my friends~ Be happy always and let us all move to a whole new year^^
